Where to Look:

• Archived folder, if existent.
• Sent folder, if you ever replied to it.

Note : if you ever had synced Mac with iPhone , the mails also get deleted from Mac , also mails are never saved or dragged and dropped literally on the desktop of Mac , they are saved in inbuilt folders ( sent , inbox ) of mail application .

Have a Computer with this eMail Account on it?

If so, power off your router(to avoid syncing), and boot up a device that has this email. Then, drag the eMail onto the Desktop.
