Please add a timer function for lights in HomeKit

Hello Apple!

PLEASE PLEASE add the countdown timer feature into HomeKit. You can do this with Wemo, Hue and other lights but I need it within the HomeKit automations. This shouldn't be too hard to add. Currently you have the ability to do this if you have say a motion sensor turning on a light and then you can have that light turn off after a set amount of time. But if my kids leave the room and don't turn off their lights I would like it to go off in an hour from when they first turned it on. Currently this is not possible. Since you already have it in the app using the "An Accessory is Controlled" automations it should be a breeze to add.

Thanks!

Eliot

Good Afternoon Eliot,

I see you have some suggestions regarding a feature within HomeKit, and I'd be glad to help the best way possible with this.

If you're seeing that the feature isn't available, nor an accessory that has the feature, it would be best to leave feedback on this to be reviewed. For help with leaving feedback and suggestions, use the following link.

We look forward to that feedback being left there for review.

Have a great day!
