I bought a iPhone se through Amazon the model number starts with a m but the serial number starts with an F what dose this mean?

and why where the allowed to sell it as new if it’s been refurbished by apple

No, that is not so, but I must say there have been several similar posts here recently. Possibly someone has posted that incorrect information on a social media site.


For the model (this is where the “F” is relevant).

M = New unit

N = Apple replacement unit

F = Apple refurbished

P = Engraved.
