hi I need to change my usbc charger for my Macbook Air which is frayed at the laptop base but can't unhook it from the power block adapter. Do I pull until the cable comes out or does that damage the wall power adapter. Also, how do I know which cable to buy for sure. it's Macbook air from Feb 2020

Why can't you unhook it from the power adapter? You should be able to do it just like with any USB port.

Here's the adapter you have Apple 67W power adapter (LINK)
Just unplug the old cable from the power adapter, plug the new one in, plug the other end to your Mac and that's it.
