Is there an app I can use to make phone ring remotely? Some sort of "ring myself" feature?

I frequently can't find my phone in my house. I know its close because I have bluetooth connection with my Garmin watch.

Currently, I have to call someone via whatsapp or skype on my macbook, and ask them to call whatsapp or skype my mobile to make it ring.

If only there was an app which I could install on both phone and mac to allow me to ring the phone remotely.

I assume this could be done with the mac find my device functionality, but a) I have never managed to get this to work b) I certainly don't want apple (or anyone) constantly tracking my location, especially given everyone sells data regardless of legality (if facebook do it, everyone does it)

What would be really great is an easy way to make the phone ring, without any GPS or location tracking. This would be a killer feature on skype or whatsapp, which is already installed on my Mac, PC and phone: "ring myself"

We appreciate you reaching out on Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you have questions about locating your iPhone without the use of Find My. We’d be happy to help out!

As you mentioned, Find My would be the easiest way to locate your device. However, if you have “Listen for Hey Siri” enabled on your iPhone, you can request that Siri play music or a sound, depending on the device model. You can check that in Settings > Siri & Search.

Additionally, it appears that your Garmin Watch might have a separate feature for locating your iPhone. However, it requires that the Garmin Connect app is open and running in the background. Read more at: Using the Find My Phone Feature on a Garmin Watch | Garmin Support

Garmin option worked! I didnt even know garmin had this feature. I never managed to get find my phone to work, and have siri disabled for privacy, so garmin is the way to go.
