Can Apple repair the memory and hard drive of MacBook Pro with M1 chips?

Although the current MacBooks have their memory and hard drive soldered permanently to the logic board, can Apple replace them in case they malfunction?

It requires replacing the entire Logic Board which is an expensive repair.

Make sure to always have frequent & regular backups in order to minimize the chances of data loss. It is impossible to recover accidentally deleted data from an SSD after the Trash has been emptied plus an SSD can fail at any time without any warning signs (even a new SSD). With 2018+ Macs the SSD has its data hardware encrypted which means the Logic Board must be functional in order to attempt data recovery (Apple does not do data recovery). In fact some macOS updates/upgrades may even corrupt the T2 security chip (not sure what an M1 uses) which destroys all data on the SSD (technically the data is still present, but inaccessible since the T2 security chip holds the encryption keys to the hardware encrypted data on the SSD). Basically it is very difficult to impossible to recover any data from an SSD on a USB-C Mac.

Apple's current method is repair by replacement. So if any feature on your mainboard needs to be fixed, the mainboard will be replaced, and you will not get your original boot drive back again.

You MUST have backups.

Any problems with encrypted SSD drives leave No recoverable data. Even if the drive can sometimes be saved, your data can almost never be saved.
