Unlock iPhone via iTunes

My subscription to my carer has finished.
So,I've paid the fee for unlocking and being informed,that unlock will be done via iTunes,next time I'll synchronize iPhone.
Hasn't worked yet...
Any body's done it ?
I can't figured out how it works.
And info,I've founded her,isn't enough...

MacBook 13'' 2.0GHz Intel C2D 2 GB RAM 80GB HD, Mac OS X (10.4.11), iPhone 3G 8 Gb

My carrier told me that it will take up to 4 days to unlock your phone, because they pass the IMEI info to Apple, and they will make sure that iTunes will recognize the new SIM as a valid SIM card for the iPhone. I did not get any pop up screen in iTunes, telling me that the iphone now is officially unlocked, and everything works just like before when the phone was carrier locked.

Yep. This is what I think too... Should wait for a couple of days.
I'm not going to connect it again after unlock. Don't really care about it. Just want to be sure it's unlocked,because it will be a present for my wife's nephew.
My iPhone 4 coming today 😉

Did you check your system requirements? Your profile says 10.4.11, Apple says 10.5.8 for the iPhone 4
in any case, enjoy your new device, I sure do 😉
