Currently Being ModeratedAug 5, 2010 12:54 AM (in response to Haribol)My carrier told me that it will take up to 4 days to unlock your phone, because they pass the IMEI info to Apple, and they will make sure that iTunes will recognize the new SIM as a valid SIM card for the iPhone. I did not get any pop up screen in iTunes, telling me that the iphone now is officially unlocked, and everything works just like before when the phone was carrier locked.MBP 17'' 2,16GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPhone 4 32GB, iPod touch 2ndGen

I'm not going to connect it again after unlock. Don't really care about it. Just want to be sure it's unlocked, because it will be a present for my wife's nephew.
