I’m trynna get the important display message off of my phone
iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 15
I am assuming you did not get it from Apple, hence the message. Go to your display settings on your phone and if True Tone is turned on turn it off.
Have you had the display replaced?
In Settings > Display & Brightness what options do you show?
A screen shot would be easier. On the first automatic make sure it is turned off as well as lightship and display zoom. If you are using bold text you may have to disable that.
