Yesterday, I just got the new iMac 2021 with ship M1 and I quickly went to updates, I updated it for Big Sur 11.6.1 and then I tried to install Monterey but it says that the package installasistant.pkg does not comply with the Gatekeeper policy. I tried everything to update it but just when the download is finished the error appears.
iMac 24″, macOS 11.6
Look in the Applications folder to see if the installer package is there. If it is delete it, boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support and try downloading and installing from there.
