Then it is too late, now.

The device is already damaged.

You gambled nothing would happen to this expensive iPad and you lost that gamble.

This is why the device was returned to you and your payment refunded.

It is notoriously difficult to prove a screen crack is a manufacturing defect and covered under the free, limited, one year AppleCare ( NO + sign ) manufacture warranty.

Apple does NOT actually repair iPads.

Apple ONLY offers in/out of warranty device replaement.

You will, probably, have to pay, approximately, 60% of that iPad's original cost, to obtain another replacement device of the same year and model.

Sorry & Best of Luck to You!

A little hard to help/advise you when you provide NO information about your iPad.

Here are my questions to you.

Can you, please, confirm what year and model iPad do you have/own?

The “A” model number can be found on the aluminium back of your iPad, in very small print, right under the larger bold print “iPad” on the back of the iPad.

What iOS/iPadOS version is this iPad, currently, running?

Please try to make an attempt to answer all questions asked.

Thank You.
