Lenovo G27-20 compatibility.

I just bought an M1 Mac Mini yesterday. I was so excited to go home to set it up but when I connected the HDMI cable to the monitor, it just says STANDBY MODE. I did a couple of research and I saw something from the Lenovo forums that says "This monitor is intended to work with Windows " I will insert a screenshot below. My question is, I don't wanna spend money to buy another monitor so is there a workaround for this? I mean I was not even aware that some monitors are just exclusive for windows, had I known, I shouldn't have bought the mac mini.

never had problems with connecting any monitors with macs, and "drivers" for monitors are usually 1 a colour preset and refresh rate list it support, the monitor itself would not "know" what device it was connected to and like verse the imac would just be outputting the std. hdmi stream

if there was problems with the hdmi means of connecting it suppose I would try connecting it by the displayport, the thunderbolt connectors output displayport as their video out format
