Calendar data missing on iMac since I cancelled iCloud

I recently cancelled iCloud because it was causing all kinds of problems.

Now I notice that all the data is missing from my calendar. I assume iCloud was storing it.

I have a backup folder of everything that was on iCloud. Can anyone tell me what the calendar data file is called, where I might find it, and how to open it, and get it to open as default, in Calendar.

I also have Time Machine backups, if that helps.

Fyi, iCloud said that the restore worked, but the items still did not appear on my iMac Calendar. I had to go in to iCloud Preferences and check Calendars and Notifications (I had unchecked everything when I tried to cancel iCloud). Then everything showed up on my iMac Calendar. So I guess I'm stuck with iCloud for the time being.

anything you add to your calendar is tied to an account (usually your email). So you can also check that account.

I'm talking about the various appointments I had typed directly into the calendar. I'm assuming there is an archive file of them somewhere in the iCloud drive's backup folder. I just don't know what it's called, or exactly where to look for it. If I could find it, I hope that I could just import it back into my Calendar.

Your calendar just pulls in information from whatever connected account you use (Exchange, work email, school, etc.)
