IOS 15, geometry dash and other games crashes after starting

Ah yes, let’s contact the developer who has taken 5 YEARS to release an update which has technically already been released with GD SubZero 🗿 (yes I do know that the latest update is 2.11 which only added iPhone X support)

dude, updates aren’t easy when you are the only one developing the game and have to make a massive update. if you knew how big 2.2 is going to be then maybe you would change your mind. also, robtop is very active in discord servers and twitter

Well 5 years is a bit much especially given that the teaser for 2.2 came out almost a full year ago... The least they could do is the bare minimum to have it function on 2.1 (a 2.1.1 sort of thing) until they can get 2.2 to function properly.

As of now, geometry dash does not work on devices that are using ios 15 that have the a11 bionic chip or older. This means that you need to either not update to ios 15, downgrade from ios 15 (not recommended), get a new device or wait for the next update. The oldest phone that can run geometry dash on ios 15 is the iphone Xr and Xs. Do not try to contact the developer (robtop) as he never answers his emails. (also, robtop doesnt have a copy of the original 2.11 update so he cant release a bugfix until the next actual update, the only way to play it is to downgrade ios version or play on a different device)

P.S. people with *200,000 apple points*, could you try to help people a bit more then just telling them to, “contact the developer,” or, “find a new game.” I know thats probably what you usually find that works but it seems quite low effort as robtop (the gd developer) doesnt answer his support emails and im sure hundreds of other devs dont either. I think people would appreciate it a bit more if you looked into problems with a bit more depth. :)

*also if it wasnt clear, anything newer than the iphone Xs or Xr will work on ios 15, i forgot about ipads but im pretty sure its ipad 9 or newer. Im REALLY hoping that this clears things up with people so they dont keep getting confused with why it sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. It doesn’t work because since iOS 15 the maker of the game never updated it to work with iOS 15

For some reason tho my dad has geometry dash with iOS 15 and it still works!

Contact the app developer, it's up to them to fix their software not Apple.

Yeah it works with a few peoples devices that I know, and they’re on iOS 15. Might have to downgrade to make it to work
