I have a 24-inch iMac, M1, 2021. Can I use it as a monitor with the new MacBook Pro?
Sorry. padams35 is correct. You can mirror the display using AirPlaytoMac assuming you are running Monterey 12.0.1 or later.

There is no Apple supported solution for that.
Yes! Starting with MacOS Monterey you can now use "AirPlay to Mac" with 2020 and newer Macs (plus select 2017-2019 models).
