Theater mode turned on suddenly yesterday although I don't remember setting it. Now it will not turn off. It is unresponsive to my touch and remains on. Other apps are responding to touch, just this one and it remains on and orange. How do I turn off theater mode?

I’m had the same issue. Theater Mode turned on without intentional action. I could not swipe up to see control center.
I turned off my watch, then turned it on again. I was then able to swipe up and access control center to turn Theater Mode off.
I guess my Apple Watch wants to go to the movies.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! From your post we can see that theatre mode is not working as expected on your Apple Watch.
Let's see if the info included here helps: Use Control Center on Apple Watch. See if either tapping the screen, pressing the side button or turning the Digital Crown will help it respond. You can then use the Control Center to turn it off. You might have to restart your Apple Watch too.

Thank you. I had to hard restart the watch and then I was able to turn off theater mode. Nothing else worked up to that point.
