iOS 15.1 is laggy

How full is the storage of your phone? I just noticed that almost all storage was full (podcast downloads), so I deleted some stuff (10GB free now), and it seems better.

I will keep an eye.

B. Give Apple Feedback - Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know what exactly is occurring.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on when you came across this issue, and how you have troubleshot it thus far.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

And what troubleshooting steps have you done?

I cannot swipe some apps closed (like the camera) - the apps are largely unresponsive at this point on the iPad and phone. Seems hit or miss. Smells less like an accidental bug and one intentional to mimic a bad screen so you’ll go replace it. I have the issue across 3 devices that were fine until the patch. Also, even though I turned off spell check it still changes misspelled words.

Using my XS Max is frustrating since updating to IOS 15. It can take up to 10 seconds to connect a call, incoming calls sent to voicemail, phone seems unstable, not the fast and efficient apple product I expect! I use Maps through Car play to navigate, have been impressed with Maps but not since update, has become unpredictable! I have reverted back to my built in Sat Nav.

Same problem and no solution in sight. 15.1.1 did not help. Visits to the “genius” bar gave me the same solutions that you mention. They changed my phone. Asked me to restart, reset, erase and then finally told me it was only a small lag. I guess that they don’t use their phone for work. This is very frustrating!

Having the same problem on my iPhone 8 running iOS 15.1.

What I did to resolve: restart phone (needed to keep pressing power switch as the phone wasn’t shut down but seemed stuck at an all black screen while shutting down).

After restart, problem still exists.

I’m having the same issues with my iPhone, I even took it to my mobile carrier and they even changed the sims card it solved the issues for a couple of days and now started again with this issues can’t use safari, maps, music and FaceTime sometimes but it’s very laggy and messages forget it can’t send them!

Seems Apple’s OS is running on par with Microsoft’s in terms of quality lately.

Same problem after iOS 15.1. I even paid $50 to “upgrade” my phone to attempt to solve it. Did not. Maps apps are lagging so bad while driving in sf that it is very difficult to drive safely.
