We see you want to know if there is a way to block calls, but not messages. We noticed you reviewed this article Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Blocking phone numbers will block calls and messages. There isn't a way to choose, however if you would like to submit feedback or suggestions about it to Apple, you may do so here: Product Feedback.
