Cannot log into App Store and have tried lots of troubleshooting!

I logged out of the App Store on my MacBook Pro because it wouldn't allow me to download any apps (it would just continue to load forever). Now when I go to Sign In, it allows me to enter my email and password but then the prompt goes away like the information is correct but then nothing ever happens. It just is an endless loop of pressing sing in and hoping it actually signs in one of these times. I am able to sign into my Apple ID on the website and in the setting of my mac but for some reason the App Store just doesn't work. I have tried shutting off, updating, checking my settings, but I get the same thing. I will say my MacBook Pro is a little on the older side (2014) but I am up to date on updates and am running Big Sur 11.6.1. Anyone got any ideas?
