Hi I am trying to change my Apple ID email address and when I go in to Edit and change and type in my email address I want it says that it is already in use, how can that be?

I am trying to change my Apple ID on my IPhone, as the email address no longer exists, but when I type in my current email address it says it is already in use, by whom? It’s my email address

We see that you're having trouble changing your Apple ID.


As this is a user to user community, no one here can look in to your Apple ID. For something like this you'll need to reach out to Apple Support directly.
