spatial audio is not working on macbook air 2017 model

I updated my macbook air (2017 model) to macOs Monterey hoping that spatial audio will work on it but sadly it's not. Is there any setting I need to change to get the spatial audio going. Fyi... I have an airpods pro and not trying to switch on spatial audio on laptop speaker.

Hello, khitu45!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue using Spatial Audio on your MacBook Air. Check out this article to Listen with spatial audio for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Specifically, please take a look at the requirements:

"What you need

  • AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or AirPods (3rd generation)
  • iPhone 7 or later or one of these iPad models:
    • iPad Pro 12.9‑inch (3rd generation) and later
    • iPad Pro 11‑inch
    • iPad Air (3rd generation) and later
    • iPad (6th generation) and later
    • iPad mini (5th generation) and later
  • iOS or iPadOS 14 or later
  • Apple TV 4K with tvOS 15
  • MacBook Pro introduced in 2021
  • Audiovisual content from a supported app"

Since you have a MacBook Air, spatial audio will not be an option for the computer with the AurPods Pro.

Have a super day!
