Iphone stoage!

I have so many many many many many problems with storage, having an iphone 6s from 2016 with 16 gb it's a struggle yes. ''Other'' takes 7 gb and so does ''system'' so already there ive got 2 gbs left to use which is useless. Now I decided to delete some photos, like 100 in total, guess what..... My storage went UP instead of going down, how??? How does the storage go higher when I deleted them? I also deleted them from recently deleted, I'm so confused.

That’s a catching issue. First is to force restart to see if it clears it up.

If not, use iTunes/Finder on a computer following the steps “Use the Finder or iTunes to check the storage on your iOS device“ and learn about Other under “About cached files in "Other" at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201656
