To access your Downloads folder, open the Finder (the leftmost or topmost icon on the Dock, a blue-white smiley face), then select Downloads.
If Downloads doesn't appear in the Finder, follow these steps to get it back:
- At the top of the screen, select Finder -> Preferences.
- Select the Sidebar tab.
- Make sure the checkbox is checked for the Downloads folder. Check the relevant boxes for any other folders that you want to have in the sidebar as well.
