So first time I Phone user. Just got phones today and my better half started enter his contacts and they are also showing up on my phone. My better half is also getting the contact that I've enter in my phone. I did go to calls on other devices and have turned that off. I still have the added contacts. Any solutions?

Yes and the solution is to use Separate Apple IDs. Setup your iPhones separately under separate Apple IDs. Once that is done then you can look into ➔ Family Sharing.
