Double-sided printing from Microsoft Word

I have an iMac (Retina 4k, 21.5 inch, 2017) running macOS Big Sur version 11.6 and I print to a Brother DCP-J1100 DW. The main word processing application I use is Microsoft Word version 16.54. When I go to print a document, there is no option to print double-sided in the print window – see image below. This option is available in all the other applications I've tried, including Outlook, Safari, Notes and pdf documents. The only way I can find to print a Microsoft Word document double-sided is to export it to a pdf file and then print. Weirdly, I can even print double-sided in Microsoft Excel (see even further below). Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this please?

Thanks for your suggestion Eric-F. My Office automatically updates so my Word version is the latest one. Your link to the two-sided printing in Word for Mac gave me the answer. I had already found the link to the Microsoft support site and tried to follow the instructions which say 1. Click print, 2. Click Copies & Pages, and then click Layout and select Long-Edge Binding etc. Each time I tried this the Copies and Pages bit wasn't allowing me to get to the next window. It is now working fine, so thanks for your help and who knows why it wasn't working the other day. It's really annoying that the 'Print' window doesn't tell you whether it's going to print single- or double-sided, particularly if you forget it's a really long document and you forget to check!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are unable to print two-side pages while using Word and we'd like to point you in the right direction for help.

Since this is only happening with Word, we recommend making sure Word is updated.
