Greetings AFP008,
We understand that you are having some difficulty using Safari on your Mac, and we'd like to help. Begin by following the guidance found here:
If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected
Take care.
The link provided is no help. I find that clicking on links open a new tab with my browser default home page rather than the page pointed to by the link. All sorts of other problems that make Safari practically unusable. Problem is, I have all my passwords stored in Safari and so far I can't transfer them to Chrome or Firefox. Why doesn't Apple do something to correct the flakey performance of Safari 15.
Safari is terribly erratic after Montery. Sometimes reading list and history will appear, sometimes not. Sometimes opening side bar will work, sometimes not. Sometimes the only way to get it to actually open a page of any kind it to select something from history. If I'm lucky I can go to history and open a link where things work. Clicking a new window always brings surprises, some times I can get a history or favorites window, sometimes not. I've never seen anything like this.
This does not resolve the issue.
Clear history no longer works. It just has a blank dialog box
Clear the Cache in the Developer Menu. Seems to have worked for me on 2 devices. Agree though Safari is unstable since Monterey
