How do I remove Accessibility background sounds?

After installing iOS 15, I thought I'd give Background Sounds a try. After turning on Background Sounds in Audio/Visual prefs, I listened to Stream, Rain, Ocean, etc. While doing so, I saw the the sound files were being downloaded (and no way to stop that). After trying the sounds I decided that this option wasn't for me, and I turned it off. Now I have these sound files in memory somewhere and don't need/want them. How do I delete them? I rebooted the phone but they are still there. All I find with Google is how to use them, not how to remove them.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hi there, jlevinson!

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. It looks like you've tried the new Background Sounds option, but decided it wasn't the right fit. Now you need some help removing the sounds that got downloaded. We're happy to help!

On your iPhone, please go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Background Sounds > Sound. Once here, tap the Edit button in the upper right. A red circle with a "-" inside will appear to the left of each sound. Tap this icon and the sound will be removed from your device.

The names of the sounds will still appear, however there will no longer be an option to delete them once you've gone through the above steps. If you ever decide to try the feature again, they will redownload automatically when they're selected.
