Apple, on Apple Music, please add REMOVE FROM PLAYLIST option. The only way I see how to remove a song from a playlist is the REMOVE button or when you swipe the song left. When you select REMOVE it removes this song from your entire library…..hence if you remove this song from one playlist, you remove that song from all your playlists which is not what I want as an end result.

I swear it wasn’t there before….but there is now a Remove from Playlist button when you select the 3 horizontal dots next to a song and also when you swipe the song left, when you tap the trash can it gives the option to Remove from Playlist. Thanks for answering my call Apple!!!

Removing an item from a playlist does not remove it from the library unless you elect that option. Eg. on an iPhone. Swipe left to trash. You'll then be asked to remove from playlist or delete from library.
Thank you muguy for your reply…..but I am not experiencing these options when I swipe left…. When I swipe left I just get the trashcan for a choice and when I select it, the song instantly gets removed from that playlist, any other playlist that song was in, and from my library.
