I have to sell my Ipad..how do I clean it out of all personal information?
And once done, how can I be sure it's all gone? I've been searching online and there are videos put out by computer companies making it pretty clear you can't really clean out everything.
Erase all content and settings: Choose General > Reset, then tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”
This resets all settings to their original values and erases all your information
and media.
I'd love more information. I don't think that's enough to delete everything. When I turn the ipad on, my last name still comes up, so it's not the same as it was when it left the factory.
Here are the steps you need to take to ensure your iPad contains no personal data/content left behind by you:
1.) Erase all content & settings by going to Settings>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings.
2.) Once Step 1 is completed, you MUST be sure to follow this next step to ensure nothing remains from your iTunes account. Plug the iPad in to your computer, and in iTunes itself, SIGN OUT of your account. Once you have done this, you should see blank Username/Password boxes on your iPad when the iTunes dialog pops up.
