My IPhone 13 came with a USB -C port

Everything I have seen online about IPhone 13 says that they will not have USB-C ports. To my surprise, I bought my wife a new IPhone 13 last week and it has a USB-C charging port.

Is this a fluke? Or is every article on the internet and Apple website incorrect?

No iPhone sold anywhere in the world has a USB C Charging port in the phone. The cable which came with the phone is Lightning to USB C. The lightning end, which has been on iPhone for years now, goes into the iPhone and the USB C side goes into either a computer with USB C or a charging brick which is USB C.

You're welcome. If you had an iPhone with actual USB C charging port, you'd have a VERY valuable device, since there isn't one made like that. The lightning plug which came with the new phone should without question connect to the phone. When you get home, you should verify that. It's just no longer USB A on the part which plugs into a charging brick. That part is now USB C.
