Hello Eric:
Thanks for the help. Let me first state that WiFi Calling is enabled on all devices, iPhone X with iOS 15.1, Apple Watch with watchOS 8.1, and Mid-2015 MCP with macOS 12.0.1 Monterey. I have Verizion as my cell service, and my iPhone left top screen displays "VZW Wi-Fi" which indicates that WiFi calling feature is enabled.
Prior to upgrading the macOS Monterey 12.0.1, I was using Big Sur, and WiFi calling worked 90% of the time. Now, it rarely works.
FIY, "Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling" with the FaceTime app in macOS Monterey does not follow. The FaceTime app was changed/Upgraded. I can not longer find where I can manually enter a phone number, there isn't an Audio Call option any longer. When I try to call any contact, it always connects and makes the call "using iPhone" and does not use WiFi connection.
I get poor cellular connection where I live, which is why I prefer to use WiFi calling. My WiFi signal strength is great, and do not have issues with connecting to the internet.
I really want to know if there is a way to force WiFi calling in liue of cellular when using either my iPhone, or MCP.
This issue is starting to make me regret upgrading to macOS Monterey.
Thanks!
Paul
