AOL Icon NOT Showing Number of Unopened Emails

I had to recently switch over to the AOL app in order to continue getting emails using my Verizon email address. But every morning when looking at the AOL icon on my iPhone 11, it no longer shows a count of how many unopened emails I have. How do I fix this?

Hi rztour,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are not seeing a badge to indicate new emails from your AOL app and we'd like to help.

Even though the title of this resource is different from your issue, the steps will help troubleshoot the AOL app: If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
