How do I turn off "Announce Calls" on an iPad? There is no "Phone" icon under Settings, so I can't directly access the option there. Will turning off "Notifications" under the Siri&Search field work?
This matters because I'm getting audio announcements when a call is place thru the Signal app.

Try Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications = “off”
As I read the description, it appears this is the same as Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Notifications, which you have.

For what little it's worth, my iPhone offers the same option shown in my screenshot. I'm at a loss to explain why I have that on my iPad and you do not. Maybe it's because I have an iPhone set up with "calls on other devices", but I don't know that.
Anyway, we can't argue with success.

Yeah except on my iPad, 5Gen, swre 15.0.2, that option does not exist in that menu.
I’m using iPadOS 15.1. I have an iPad Pro 11” 3rd generation (wi-fi only).
I wouldn’t think this option was introduced with iPadOS 15.1, but perhaps I’m wrong.
