With the new Macbook Pro 14" (M1 pro) can I use a dual HDMI to USB-C adapter to connect two external displays to one USB-C/thunderbolt port on my mac? With both external monitors being extended (not just mirroring my mac display)...?
Or would I need to plug one of the monitors into the HDMI port and the second via a HDMI to USB-C adapter?
2 HDMI into one thunderbolt would be much neater.

"You can use an external display, a projector, or an HDTV with your 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro. The HDMI and Thunderbolt ports on your MacBook Pro support video output. You can connect up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz (Apple M1 Pro) or up to three external displays with up to 6K resolution and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz (Apple M1 Max)."
