Charging your pen

Thanks for posting! We can definitely understand wanting to be able to confirm that your Apple Pencil is actually charging. We see that you came from this article: Use Apple Pencil with your iPad so you read about some of the great features of the Apple Pencil!

You can check the battery level and also see the charging indicator, on the iPad in the Today View. Swipe left to right on the Home Screen or Lock Screen and you will see a widget with your bluetooth devices and their battery status. If charging, you will see a lightning bolt on the Apple Pencil.
