my watch will not start except for a flash icon and the time. What is wrong

how can i fix my watch. After pressing the crown, the only thing that turns on is a lighting rod icon and the time of day.

It sounds like your watch is in Power Reserve mode. See the 'Use Power Reserve' section of:
