How can I enter the AppleTV restriction passcode without presenting it on the TV?

I’ve set up restrictions on my Apple TV so that a passcode must be entered to open any app, in order to prevent my 6yo from opening YouTube, games etc. without my permission.


But he can clearly see what the passcode is as I enter it on the tv! 🤦 Having to make him look away every time is getting pretty tedious.


Is there a way to enter the passcode without it being presented on the TV? Such as using my iPhone.
