MacBook won’t turn on

I’ve had my iPad in my art desk for a year since I’ve moved and the last time I’ve used it was 2 years ago. I’ve been charging it for about 3 hours and sometimes the charging port turns green but then goes back to Orange. I should mention it’s a MacBook Pro from I think 2013 or 2014. Nothing has ever been wrong with it other than lag but I need it for an Amiibo system so if anyone can help that would be great.
