How does time machine connect to the MC? USB cable or ??

if both Macs can get on the Internet without re-cabling, you have a pathway over Wi-Fi through your Router.


The first backup is by far the largest, and it will take a while. After that, Time machine works in the background at low priority and a speedy connection is not needed.
