Video clip problems in iMovie for iPhone

When I attempt to import videos to a movie project in iMovie it is shortening my clips. For example I have two video clips, one is 3 minutes and 27 seconds and the other is 1 hour and 10 minutes. When I open the gallery to import the clips they are shortened to 2 minutes and 52 seconds and 45 minutes. I edited a video yesterday and this issue did not occur. iOS is up to date (15.1, updated today) I have deleted and reinstalled iMovie and made certain that it’s the newest version available. I have also tried three other video editors and experienced the same problem.
