unable to verify macOS Monterey update

I'm trying to update from Big Sur to Monterey (I'm on a 2020 MacBook Pro 13") and after a couple of attempts have downloaded the launcher. When I try to update then, it gets to about 52 mins and then stops and a message pops up saying 'Unable to verify macOS'. I have had trouble updating in the past, any tips on how to solve this problem and update?

I've had better luck from the Safe Mode because I evidently have some 3rd party software that interferes with the installation so try the following:

#1 - boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3-5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

#2 - go to the System/Software Update preference pane and begin the download.

#3 - run the installer from the Safe Mode.

Check in Applications folder for Install Monterey - if it exist Drag and Drop to Trash and Empty Trash.

There are factors:

1 - Like poor Wifi connection

2 - Slow wifi connection

3 - Too many other people downloading at the same time and Apple Severs are overloaded

4 - Software on the computer interfering with the download process including AntiVirus Software

5 - Running behind a VPN which may increase Packet losses

6 - If via wifi too many Other devices using the wifi at the same time reducing the Bandwidth to your computer.

7 - Best Results are via Ethernet Cable to Router
