What to do if I cannot upgrade my macOS Big Sur to macOS Monteray? It keeps telling me cannot be installed on Macintosh HD.

I am supposed to upgrade my macOS Big Sur but it happens to ask me to upgrade to macOS Monteray. However, I could not complete the process when it keeps telling me that macOS Monterey cannot be installed on Macintosh HD. What should I do? Do I really need to upgrade to Monterey from Big Sur?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6
