Monterey gives strange warnings about memory

I have got strange alerts telling that my application memory is almost used and I should force quit the app. What is going on? I have 32gb Ram on my 27" iMac late 2 019

iMac 27″, macOS 12.0

This can happen when some apps have memory leaks. My simplistic approach to this is to just run one app at a time until you identify the culprit. Google Chrome is known to have this problem.

Thank you for your advice. I was surprised that Pages gave me this alert several times. I restarted my iMac a couple of times, took all the startup items away and tried to clean everything. I hope this works. I usually use Chrome and this is one reason I try to stay away from it :-)
