M1Macbook Pro - Black screen after sleep

Hello,

I have a M1 Macbook Pro 2021 running MacOS 12.0.1 Monterey.

Every time the device goes to sleep, and I press a button, move the mouse, or open the lid to wake it up, the screen is black. The keyboard is lit, and the touchbar works fine.

However, I have to press Escape twice (once to cancel the wakeup, and once to reinitiate the wakeup) in order to get the screen lit up.

Is there any fix for this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi ZeroBit_Security,

We understand every time you start your Mac after it was in sleep mode, it just starts to a blank screen. We're happy to offer some guidance.

If you're just seeing a blank screen you can try these steps: If your Mac starts up to a blank screen

If the screen still isn't working properly after that, we'd recommend contacting Apple for assistance: Get Support

Hope this helps. Cheers!
