Apple TV can't activate

Still no update from Apple. This simple fix (workaround) worked for me though.

1.    install 3utools on your windows pc

2.    Connect your TV to the power and connect it to the USB on your pc

3.    Start 3utools and if the pc has found the Apple TV..

4.    click “more”

5.    it will open a page where you have to search for “Batch activation” and click there

6.    then click “all” and start

Should work after that.

Please try using another USB cable.

There are two types of USB cables: cables that can only be charged and cables that can be charged and transferred data.

If you use a cable that supports data transfer, you can find your Apple TV in your pc.

Reg. cable - try another one, I had 5 cables and only 1 worked, it should be not just charging cable but with usb interface

Same problem here, contacted apple support but they don't seem to be aware of the issue.

More and more reports emerging online, supposedly a problem on apples server side.

Yes same issue here too, spoken to Apple Support in Ireland, said we have to wait for a fix, its been three weeks now since the restore, everything works fine just won't activate/airplay - very frustrating.

Same issues, airplay on apple tv is not visible for any device after reset, struggle for than a week already! @Apple, please help!
