You can find links to various macOS installers within this Apple article as well as optional instructions for creating a bootable macOS USB installer (use Safari or a Chromium based browser to access the installer links since it has been reported that Firefox may not be able to open the links to the App Store):
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372
FYI, you will need to install Mojave if you want to use any 32 bit apps. Also If you have Big Sur or Monterey installed, then Mojave will keep notifying you that it cannot use the new APFS volume associated with Big Sur/Monterey.
You need to make sure to have a backup of all your data before attempting to install an older version of macOS in case something goes wrong. Dual booting is always a pain and you may find yourself spreading your files across the two macOS installs. Be very careful with how & where you store your data.

The links are mostly not working. Apple has been alerted and no one knows when they will fix the issue.
It would help if more people contacted Apple and told them about this problem. They seem to be in no hurry to fix.
I am waiting to download Mojave.
You may not be able to downgrade the system. Whatever system that you mac came with when you bought it, is the lowest OS you can use. If you have a 2020 M1 then you are stuck with Big Sur. Why do you need to downgrade?
yes. You will not be able to run applications that are 32 bit, and applications that are windows applications and need the intel chip. Apple has instructions to do this but doesn’t really want you to do this, and so they make it hard.
Here is an article from Macworld/UK which talks about how to do it: https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/downgrade-macos-3581872/
ok so I understand where the links are. This was my original problem. The OS's are not in the app store which is where these links are going. You can search for them, the only one there is Monterey.
Thanks, but the Mojave link does not work from your google find. Can you try it and tell us if it works out for you without giving this error?
This is an Intel Macbook Pro. It had an older OS on it and I updated it. After I updated it, some programs didn't work. So I want to bring it back to 11.5.1 whichever that one is.
ok I created a new volume for dual boot. But I still can't find the operating system in the app store.
where else can I find it?
You need to make Google your friend.
Google the question and you will find an answer. here’s one: https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/download-old-os-x-3629363/
