My phone is not doing software updates automatically.

If you're running 14.7 and it tells you that's the current version, you have a beta profile installed. Remove it.

What do you see when you go to Settings/General/Software Update?

Do you mean app updates, app data updates, or iOS version updates? What model phone do you have?

14.8 is not available. 14.8.1 or 15.1 are the only current update options.

What happens exactly, what messages do you see? To update all of these requirements must be met:

• You need at least 6 GB of free storage
• You must be connected to a Wi-Fi network (and not a personal hotspot)
• The phone must be charged to at least 50%, and preferably plugged in so it stays above 50% during the update
• The phone must not be in Low Power Mode
• The phone must not be connected through VPN
• The phone cannot be in Airplane mode
