Zoom in Message or Mail? Too Small For Me to Read When Writing

As It says in the subject line, is there a way to make the Mail or Message screen or text bigger when composing as one can in a browser?

I can't see what I'm writing without reading glasses , and those are not always around.

Where is default zoom in/out capability in Mail App? If I just want to zoom email contents then I can use cmd and +/- to do that. My complaint is that I have to do it every time I read an email. The mail app should persist zoom settings. Recommended behavior: Every time a new email is being viewed the last zoom settings should be used to render the email contents. Therefore, the email content automatically gets zoomed-in/out when viewed and the user does not have to zoom-in/out manually each time an email is viewed. Increase font size in MAIL display Reading the display of incoming mail is hard on my eyes because the font is too small. How can I improve the readability by increasing font size/decreasing number of lines on display?

OKI, I just found "make text bigger" in iMessage.

In Mail>Preferences>Fonts & Colors, you can set the size there.

Or Select All, then CMD+t to get a Font selector.
