Transferring information from my windows laptop to new macbook pro

Why did migration assistant not move any of my files from my windows laptop to my new mac book pro? Is there a way to transfer them without it? Should I just deleted it and try again?

Some options for transferring files:

External drive
Cloud Service
Network drive
...
