How do i delete a tag in the notes app?
In iOS 15, shown tags reflect their use in Notes. Using #something will add the ‘something’ tag. Deleting all instances of #something should remove that ‘something’ tag. Basically, # is now a reserved character.
From the website: "The Tags browser will only show tags that are being used within your notes. If you remove a tag from a note, it'll be removed from the Tags browser." But this is not completely true and I am having the same issue.
I created about 10 Smart Folders. I added tags for each. I inserted the appropriate tag for the various folders into 30 or so notes. Only two notes sorted to a smart folder. I opened each note and deleted the tags. I deleted all of the Smart Folders. The list of all tags was depopulated with the exception of one tag. It was the word "#famly" (sic). I have searched all notes. This tag does not exist in any note, however I am unable to delete it or edit it to correct the spelling.
