No sound on Apple TV app on fire tv

My fire TV has the Apple TV app already loaded on it. There is no sound. The sound is fine on all the other apps (Netflix, hbo max, Disney+) but there is no sound on the shows and also on the movie we just rented. I found o e article online about changing the tvs Dolby digital, and we tried that and still nothing. Anybody know why this is happening?
